Ruination Day

And the great boat sank and the Okies fled
And the Great Emancipator took a bullet in the head
In the head… took a bullet in the back of the head

It was not December and it was not in May
It was the 14th day of April, that is Ruination Day
That’s the day, the day that is Ruination Day

My to-do list emerges from the weekend largely unscathed

possnap

A great deal of strenuous napping was accomplished yesterday at casa virgo.

Other tasks included some wine-drinking and making it through five or six chapters of my latest Laura Lippman mystery, both occurring out on the deck.  Earlier I lost one Scrabulous game and won another.

In fairness, I did also mow the back yard and clean the kitchen.
